About the Role
Responsible for timely delivery of insulation products, including loading and unloading at job sites. Requires customer service skills and safe driving practices.
Responsibilities
- Drive to deliver material, and load/unload material according to a predetermined schedule.
- Maintain truck, perform daily pre-trip inspections, and conduct minor maintenance as needed.
- Report truck mechanical or maintenance issues to the Plant Manager.
- Complete daily logs and pre-inspection forms using an ELD, adhering to rules and regulations.
- Process paperwork, including tickets, bills of lading, fuel receipts, and trip reports.
- Ensure customer signatures on material receipts and collect COD charges when specified.
- Report job site issues to the Plant Manager for customer follow-up.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must possess a current DZ Driver’s License.
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Requires three years of experience driving a straight truck.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license in compliance with company policy and government regulations.
- Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining a valid license and acceptable driving record as per insurance provider requirements.
