About the Role
Community Based Prevocational Services Specialist is overseen by the Operations Director of Day & Community Services and the Assistant Directors as well as Supervisory Staff of Community Based Prevocational Services Program (805).
Responsibilities
- Supervise individuals enrolled in the program to pursue a variety of volunteer opportunities.
- Assist individuals while engaging in community volunteer activities.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with community partners at volunteer sites providing participants with opportunities to gain vocational skills.
- Carry out the daily/weekly schedule including transportation for the program participants.
- Maintain ongoing training as per OPWDD Regulations in both Rise trainings and OPWDD Eleversity training specific to support employment activities.
- Facilitate prevocational activities and ensure participant outcomes as outlined in their Life Plans.
