About the Role
The IT Manager, Product Operations (Digital Workplace) leads the implementation, operation, and support of Digital Workplace technologies to ensure a secure, productive, and consistent end-user experience. This role involves managing technical staff, service desk teams, and service partners while aligning technology solutions with business needs.
Responsibilities
- Monitor cost and performance of existing products and services
- Scan the technology horizon for new alternatives
- Partner with IT and business leadership to understand workplace needs
- Perform technical and business analysis on technology options
- Define the portfolio of Digital Workplace technologies, products, and services
- Develop deployment and adoption plans for service enhancements
- Manage key operational processes to ensure service effectiveness
- Lead technical staff, service desk, and deskside support teams
- Review demand to determine staffing requirements and execute training programs
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and career development for team members
- Manage engineers and contractors focused on end-user computing services
- Maintain and optimize Microsoft 365, endpoint management, and security controls
- Oversee collaboration and video conferencing services and platforms
- Direct activities to resolve hardware and software issues
- Lead incident, request fulfillment, and knowledge management functions
- Coordinate with supplier service delivery leads
- Serve as process owner for incident, problem, and change management
- Perform cost/benefit analyses and develop long-range technology plans
- Develop budgets, schedules, and operational level agreements
- Manage vendor and managed service provider relationships
- Provide business and technical consultation to management and users
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years of related experience
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory/leadership responsibility
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing outsourced IT managed services providers
- Must be available to work emergency storm assignments
- Must be available to travel between MA, CT, and NH as necessary
- Must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed
