About the Role
The Marketing Manager will lead local marketing efforts in New York, collaborating with technical leaders and business developers to drive visibility and strengthen the firm's presence. This role involves managing a local marketing team, ensuring brand consistency, and implementing strategic marketing initiatives that align with the firm's mission and values.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a team of Marketing Seniors, Specialists, and Coordinators.
- Provide clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback to the team.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and professional development for the marketing team.
- Partner in business development strategies to engage prospective clients.
- Manage quality control and QA/QC for all marketing deliverables.
- Ensure consistent branding, messaging, and visual identity across all materials.
- Analyze research data on clients, competitors, and markets to share with leadership.
- Participate in strategic planning with firm leadership and business development teams.
- Develop and implement regional marketing strategies aligned with national objectives.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory activities affecting service needs.
- Collaborate with other Marketing Leaders to share best practices.
- Track marketing metrics and pursuit outcomes to inform strategy.
- Manage workloads and deadlines across multiple initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative, creative, and positive team culture.
- Collaborate with leadership on workload planning, training, and department goals.
Requirements
- 7+ years of proposal writing experience in A/E/C or professional services.
- Experience in staff management and business development.
- 8+ years of related experience if lacking a degree.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field.
- Demonstrated leadership, accountability, and collaborative mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Proven experience leading marketing or proposal efforts.
- Strong strategic thinking and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, writing, editing, and presentation skills.
- High attention to quality and QA/QC processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and CRM/proposal tracking tools.
- Participation in industry events and professional organizations.
- Strong understanding of business practices, financials, and policies.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for professional communications.
