About the Role

Your mission is to ensure the secure operation of IT and OT systems and to protect them against cyber attacks. You will monitor security-relevant events, assess vulnerabilities, and initiate technical and organizational measures. You will bring in external service provider expertise in-house. You will work closely with IT, OT, QA, and Compliance, translating regulatory requirements (e.g., NIS2, GxP) into operational security processes. You will assist management in preparing and implementing measures to strengthen security awareness in the departments. You will be the first point of contact for innovation, further development, and optimization of central security technologies (network, IAM, endpoint, PAM). You will support your colleagues in detecting, prioritizing, documenting, and escalating cyber security incidents. You will assist in the continuous development of security operations processes and playbooks.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Completed university degree in Computer Science, IT Security, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the cyber security field.
  • At least one relevant certification (e.g., CISSP, GIAC, ISO 27001, SOC, Incident Response certificate).
  • Sound professional experience in Security Operations (SOC), Incident Response, SIEM, or security-critical operations.
  • Ability to analytically and risk-orientedly assess risks and vulnerabilities, even under time pressure.
  • Fluent German (at least C1) and good English language skills.
  • Ideally, experience in regulated or critical environments such as Pharma or KRITIS.
