About the Role
We are seeking a Data Scientist to lead forecasting, budgeting, and advanced analytics for our eCommerce business, while driving the adoption of AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) across our workflows. This role bridges traditional data science with emerging AI capabilities to deliver actionable insights and strategic narratives for senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Own forecasting models for revenue, orders, conversion rates, AOV, and marketing performance.
- Partner with Finance and Leadership on budgeting, planning cycles, and strategic scenario modeling.
- Design and maintain Customer Lifetime Value (LTV) models, cohort analysis, and customer segmentation.
- Lead the adoption of AI/LLM capabilities for automated insights, natural language querying, and customer behavior summarization.
- Build prototypes and scalable solutions using LLM APIs.
- Validate statistical significance and methodology for A/B tests.
- Translate complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Finance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Data Science or Advanced Analytics, preferably in eCommerce or consumer business.
- Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience presenting complex insights to senior executives.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL (BigQuery preferred).
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI tools like OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini.
- Experience building or prototyping AI-powered workflows.
- Deep understanding of forecasting, time series modeling, and LTV modeling.
- Strong grasp of prompt engineering and model limitations such as hallucination and bias.
