About the Role
As a Traveler Automation Pharmacy Technician 4, you will travel to customer sites to operate, support, and optimize Omnicell’s advanced pharmacy automation technologies. You’ll play a critical role in backup support, go-lives, training, and ongoing customer success while supporting the Autonomous Pharmacy. This role is ideal for experienced inpatient or CPhT pharmacy technicians who enjoy travel, technology, and making a real impact on patient care.
Responsibilities
- Travel to hospital customer sites to operate, support, and optimize Omnicell automation technologies, including IVX Robot & Workflow, XR2, PakPlus, and Automated Dispensing Cabinets, etc.
- Support hospital sites as backup coverage, system implementations and go-lives, including medication assignment, inventory loading/unloading, and staging activities.
- Perform daily equipment operation, inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting following SOPs and best practices.
- Manage medication assignments remotely or onsite using Omnicell tools to ensure accurate setup and optimal inventory levels.
- Deliver hands-on customer support and training to drive adoption, confidence, and long-term success.
- Collaborate with Professional Services and project teams to ensure smooth implementations and positive customer outcomes.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Omnicell automation, supporting both customers and internal team members onsite or remotely.
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations, credentialing requirements, customer policies, and Omnicell travel and expense guidelines.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA – CPhT/ExCPT)
- Active State Board of Pharmacy Technician License/Registration for state of residence
- 1+ year inpatient pharmacy experience (strongly preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and REAL ID and/or U.S. passport
- COVID‑19 vaccination
- Ability to travel 100%
