About the Role

Project Architect works independently contributing to design and documentation coordination, including development of design drawings, technical documentation, and leading project team assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to and coordinates concept design, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation, in collaboration with the Senior Project Architect and Project Manager.
  • Plans, develops, and executes technical documentation which may include interpreting, organizing, and coordinating project team assignments and coordinating with consultants, contractors, fabricators and regulatory agencies.
  • Performs construction administration duties, including RFIs, submittals, bulletins, site observations, etc.
  • Executes applicable agency review analysis, including accessibility, zoning, life safety, etc.
  • Manages early client relationships under the direction of Project Manager.
  • Mentors and trains junior staff members.
  • Contributes to a creative and congenial office environment.
  • Supports the firm's mission through behavior consistent with the core values.

Requirements

  • Professional degree from an accredited school of architecture required.
  • Licensed in CA.
  • 5-10 years experience in a Design or Architectural practice.
  • Strong 3D visualization skills and ability to communicate design direction to a client.
  • Proficiency with Revit (required), AutoCAD and other 3D modeling software [Rhino/3DS Max/Grasshopper].
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite [Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint].
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-rounded design, presentation and technical skills.
  • Submit a letter of interest, resume, and portfolio samples.
  • Portfolio must be one PDF attachment, 10-20 pages, maximum 5 MB, illustrating prior relevant work.
