About the Role
Northrop Grumman Australia’s Future Business team identifies, shapes, and progresses future opportunities. This role specifically focuses on the air domain, shaping investment in air sustainment and modernization over the next decade and beyond. It requires operator credibility to engage capability leaders and operators as a peer.
Responsibilities
- Identify and interpret operational and capability gaps in air sustainment and modernisation
- Engage directly with operators and capability leaders to shape early-stage concepts
- Translate operational need into credible, fundable opportunities
- Work with engineering and sustainment teams to develop executable solutions
- Influence internal investment direction and prioritisation
- Provide leadership and guidance across the Future Business team
Requirements
- Australian Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain or currently hold Baseline clearance as a minimum
- Ex-RAAF or ADF with direct aircrew or operational experience on aircraft
- Credibility to engage capability leaders and operators at an operational level
- Practical understanding of how aircraft are used, constrained, and sustained
- Insight into how Defence decisions are made and how funding is prioritised
- Ability to balance operator need with engineering and commercial reality
- Comfortable operating without clear direction and can turn early ideas into opportunities that stand up under scrutiny
- Satisfy police checks and employment screening verification
