About the Role
Haleon ANZ is seeking an experienced Senior Data Steward for a 12-month contract to lead end-to-end business data stewardship across ANZ. This high-impact role ensures master and business data (customer, product, pricing, financial, operational) is accurate, governed, and fit for purpose.
Responsibilities
- Own data stewardship and governance for assigned ANZ data domains
- Define, document, and enforce data definitions, business rules and standards
- Lead data quality activities including profiling and remediation
- Act as liaison between business and technical teams
- Validate data across SAP, TPM, POS and external datasets
- Support data readiness across the Wired for Excellence program
- Establish ANZ data governance forums and routines
- Collaborate with global, regional, and local teams on data definitions, validation rules, and governance alignment
- Identify, track, and escalate data risks, dependencies, and interdependencies
- Establish and run ANZ data governance forums and stakeholder routines
Requirements
- Proven experience in Data Stewardship, Data Governance, or Master Data Management roles
- Hands-on experience with data quality processes and tools
- Strong Power BI modelling, reporting, and analytics capability
- Experience working with ERP/CRM platforms, including ideally SAP S/4HANA
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights across all levels of stakeholders
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capability, and attention to detail
- Experience working with diverse data sources, including SAP, financial data, IMS data/software, and retailer data
- Experience supporting data readiness for large-scale transformation programs
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Undergraduate Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience with SAP ECC and master data management, Trade Promotion Management (TPM), Power BI, POS/sell-out systems, NielsenIQ/IRI
- Proven ability to support and deliver complex projects in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge of the CPG/FMCG industry, including an understanding of competitors' products, services, and customer needs
- Knowledgeable of relevant data governance, standards and regulations, and their application
- Experience working with cross-functional and remote teams to support project execution
- Must have Australian work rights
