About the Role
Standard Bots aims to reduce the barrier to entry for real-world automation, enabling new industries and users by bringing the power of bits to atoms. Our user-facing applications and APIs allow individuals and developers to solve challenges without prior robotics or automation expertise, focusing on simplicity and ease of use.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve internal MRP/MES systems for BOMs, inventory, scheduling, and production workflows.
- Build APIs and services interfacing with robotic systems, factory-floor tooling, and CRMs.
- Develop real-time and event-driven systems for production visibility, traceability, and data integrity.
- Partner with manufacturing, robotics, and operations teams to translate physical workflows into software abstractions.
- Architect systems prioritizing reliability, correctness, and uptime in production-critical environments.
Requirements
- Strong technical background with 5+ years of experience in complex environments.
- Excited by new domains and challenges, eager to pick up new context to accelerate impact.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on supporting peers.
- Relentlessly seeks user impact and values execution over technical idealism.
- Prioritizes simplicity, reliability, and velocity, proactively identifying system improvement opportunities.
- Excels in dynamic and ambitious environments, working with diverse individuals.
- Open to approximately 50% back-end and 50% front-end work, with flexibility.
