About the Role
Assist in the effective management and direction of restaurant operations, focusing on quality service, associate supervision, food production quality and consistency, cost control, and inventory to ensure high standards of cleanliness are met.
Responsibilities
- Interview, hire, train, and manage associate performance.
- Ensure restaurant compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
- Monitor product quality and guest satisfaction.
- Manage inventory and ensure adequate stock levels.
- Adhere to all regulations for serving alcoholic beverages.
- Participate in marketing efforts, menu development, and trend analysis.
- Communicate effectively with staff, both verbally and in writing.
- Comply with attendance rules and work as needed.
- Prepare and manage staff schedules.
- Perform POS updates as needed.
- Fill in for various duties, including serving and bartending, as business demands.
- Conduct daily and weekly staff meetings.
- Train and coach staff on guest service expectations and brand standards.
- Maintain flexibility in schedule to meet business needs.
- Hold associates accountable for policies and standards.
- Ensure department checklists are followed daily.
- Complete inventories accurately and efficiently.
- Engage with guests, address concerns, and enhance their experience.
- Enter department schedules into the payroll system weekly.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Ensure staff training meets hiring and brand guidelines.
- Complete required training, including Brand, TIPS, and Food Handler certifications.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in fine dining or hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management, POS systems, and culinary practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead a team effectively.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory/management position.
- Experience in casual restaurant dining.
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and manner.
- Willingness to assist co-workers and be a team player.
- Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, service, wines, and preparation techniques.
- Flexible schedule to meet business needs, including high volume peak times.
