About the Role

Supervise a shift or team of maintenance technicians, filling in for the maintenance manager as needed to oversee the entire facility maintenance department. Manage the maintenance budget, track key performance measures, and oversee the work order system to ensure efficiency and timely completion of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a shift or team of maintenance hourly technicians.
  • Fill in for the maintenance manager to manage the entire facility maintenance department.
  • Manage the maintenance budget for the facility, including running and reviewing SAP reports and maintaining a spreadsheet of YTD expenditures.
  • Utilize systems like KIWI and SAP to track maintenance key performance measures.
  • Manage the work order system and track work orders through completion.
  • Compile reports on work order efficiency for the leadership team.
  • Conduct weekly maintenance priority meetings to plan and prioritize projects.
  • Plan maintenance projects, including scheduling personnel, maintaining budgets, and ensuring parts availability.
  • Schedule predictive/preventative maintenance activities with the Maintenance Manager and local leadership.
  • Lead Environmental Health & Safety initiatives under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
  • Manage and maintain the facility’s store-room inventory and parts.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager in the development and management of capital projects.
  • Manage and maintain a site-wide parts and tool inventory.
  • Coordinate and manage routine service contractors.
  • Determine material needs for repairs, research options, obtain pricing, and utilize SAP for requisitions and receiving.
  • Coordinate purchasing, inventory, and work order administration activities.
  • Source local material and purchase needed material using a P-card, maintaining purchase records.
  • Inspect all maintenance materials and services upon delivery.
  • Assist in ensuring proper plant receiving procedures are followed.
  • Track equipment repair, building repair, or project costs using SAP and report to management.
  • Utilize current site maintenance personnel for work before sourcing external contract services.
  • Analyze high maintenance cost centers and implement solutions to reduce costs.
  • Work with vendors to consolidate purchases for cost savings.
  • Manage contracted work by planning tasks, developing scopes of work, and contacting contractors for quotations.
  • Plan Routine Maintenance Tasks & Preventative Maintenance Events.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly fashion for all maintenance office documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

  • Four years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant.
  • Four years’ experience in the corrugated box industry with heavy experience in electronics preferred.
  • Mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated personnel supervisory skills.
  • High school diploma or GED.
