About the Role
Oversees shipping and receiving operations for the ETS teams. Maintains the Intake computer lab, equipment, and supplies. Supports the Evidence Coordinator and Intake team with storage facility and coordinates proper disposal of sensitive materials including desktop/laptop computers, hard drives, CD/DVDs, etc., and assists with projects as needed.
Responsibilities
- Ship/Receive packages containing client media/evidence; maintain chain of custody for all packages and track all packages for auditing purposes.
- Prepare and coordinate all shipping requests from Client Services, Intake, Production, and Forensics, including packaging, courier scheduling, and liaising with FedEx.
- Maintain inventory of shipping supplies, and blank drives for Intake team use.
- Support Intake team by assisting with Intake queue and connecting hard drives to Intake workstations for remote employees.
- Assist in logging incoming media into evidence database; assist with disposition/destruction of evidentiary media as required.
- Store, safeguard, and maintain evidence in a storage facility; keep facility clean and well-organized.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with computer hardware (e.g., handling and formatting hard drives, software installations, encryption, troubleshooting computers, etc.)
- Microsoft Office skills and experience working with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Ability to solve problems, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
Skills
- Familiarity with data copying programs (e.g., RoboCopy, FastCopy, and Total Commander) desired.
- Experience with Apple Macintosh is a plus.
- Data entry experience and familiarity with chain of custody procedures is a plus.
- Keen eye for detail, accuracy, and organization
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with customer service focus.
