About the Role
As a Superintendent, you will leverage your capacity for innovation and problem-solving to lead field operations, ensuring exceptional project delivery. You will oversee self-performed and contracted work, ensuring compliance with contract documents and the project schedule, while implementing a culture of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the timely and quality installation of contracted work.
- Implement a culture of safety and quality among employees and trade contractors.
- Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Create and manage a plan to sequence work, manage jobsite logistics, and track materials and personnel.
- Ensure a high quality of work consistent with project and company standards.
- Take initiative and personal responsibility to deliver a project on schedule and on budget.
- Develop, update, and communicate the project schedule to all stakeholders.
- Lead multi-disciplinary meetings to gain buy-in on the project schedule.
- Manage, mentor, and develop team members.
- Cultivate strong relationships with all project stakeholders.
- Maintain professionalism while representing the company and team.
- Possess working knowledge of owner contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of staff charts, general conditions, and project costs.
- Demonstrate an understanding of key performance indicators (KPI) for the project.
- Participate in close out activities including punch list and building operations training.
- Demonstrate advanced problem-solving capabilities to overcome obstacles, issues, and conflicts.
- Identify long-term risks and find ways to advance the project plan.
- Create a project site environment that inspires the team to perform at their best.
- Attract, develop, and engage diverse talent by fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline, or relevant work experience.
- 10+ years of experience working on large-scale commercial construction projects.
- 4+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams.
- Experience building high-rise residential, mixed use, or higher education projects successfully from start to finish.
- In-depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel.
- Demonstrated experience leading field operations and communicating plans effectively across multiple audiences and stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge of applicable safety and building regulations (i.e., OSHA).

- Ability to work extended hours, especially during critical project phases or client deadlines.
