About the Role
The Director, North America VCS Verticals will lead the planning and execution of VCS’ B2B payment product offerings and market positioning for verticals such as Government, Construction, Healthcare, and Fleet. This role requires an initiative-taking individual with strong leadership, vision, problem solving ability and knowledge in B2B payments and solutioning. This individual will have prior sales enablement and/or product expertise. This person’s primary responsibility is to deliver Visa’s products and solutions to our clients with substantial value propositions across the entire B2B commerce ecosystem e.g. buyers, suppliers, financial institutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support the delivery of Visa’s vertical strategy across the full product suite of B2B solutions and capabilities
- Partner with global teams on solution requirements with scalability and long-term vision in mind
- Brainstorm with internal and external teams to develop ideas and potential solutions for co-creation
- Provide strategic and operational support to executive leadership as appropriate
- Participate in the development/enhancement of vertical-specific collateral for the NA region
- Collaborate with Global Product and Sales to understand and deliver client solutions with substantial value propositions across the B2B commerce value chain
- Work with regional sales/account executives to identify and enable use cases related to B2B commerce applications with the goal of scaling
- Liaise with other business units, product leaders, client services and other applicable groups to ensure flawless execution
- Develop and lead regular performance management cadence including business reviews and internal communication
- Build a strong team culture

Requirements
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8 years of relevant work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD/PhD), or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
- An affinity for payments technology and its future
- Excellent communication, storytelling and presentation skills
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to process and summarize large amounts of information and/or data into key strategic insights
- Strong team player with a willingness to collaborate across levels and functional experts
- Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to adapt
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, MS Teams)
- Experience in business analytics and intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI) a plus
- Project Management experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead and navigate through ambiguity
- The ability to take on challenges and address problems head-on
- A background in payments, financial institutions or consumer lending a plus
