About the Role
D.A. Davidson & Co., a leading investment banking firm, is seeking a full-time Vice President for its Equity Capital Markets group in New York City. This role involves project managing strategic assignments, assisting clients with public offerings and private placements, translating senior banker directives into actionable tasks, assigning projects to junior staff, and coaching team members while building client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day execution of transactions (Public Offerings / Private Placements), including preparing and reviewing company marketing documents and reviewing financial models, managing marketing and coordinating due diligence, analyzing financing alternatives and negotiating documentation.
- Establish client trust by identifying needs, project leadership, transaction structuring, company positioning, due diligence, and negotiating.
- Assist senior bankers in business development efforts.
- Contribute to revenue targets for deal teams through relationship development and identifying deal opportunities for the firm.
- Manage, train, and develop Associates and Analysts on the team.
- Ensure quality collaboration and production of work flow and product from Associates and Analysts.
- Project manage strategic assignments assisting clients with public offerings, private placements and other advisory services.
- Translate Director and Managing Director wishes into achievable tasks, assign projects to Associates and Analysts and see these projects through to completion.
- Be a coach to junior bankers and build relationships with clients.
Requirements
- Strong transaction history – Capital Markets experience preferred
- Ability to lead transaction execution teams.
- High degree of comfort interacting with senior executives.
- Strong financial modeling ability and Microsoft Office expertise.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior work ethic and teamwork skills.
- Good judgment and ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential information.
- Ability to perform in both team and self-directed settings.
- MBA with at least 3 years of capital markets experience or undergraduate degree with a minimum of 6 years capital markets experience.
- Possession of Series 79 (Series 7 may be applicable) and 63 licenses preferred but not required. New hires without these licenses will be required upon hiring.

Salary/Compensations
- $225,000 - $225,000 a year
- The potential base pay hiring range for this role is $225,000 per year. This role is eligible to participate in applicable D.A. Davidson variable compensation programs.
