About the Role

The Manager, Healthcare Connections, plays a vital role in ensuring the success of ACCES Employment’s innovative Healthcare Connections program, which supports Internationally Educated Healthcare Professionals in transitioning to non-licensed employment within the broader healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all project activities align with organizational policies, procedures, and funder agreements.
  • Meet or exceed all project deliverables and outcomes, including targeted employment goals.
  • Coordinate project activities with other ACCES programs and events through collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Manage all program staffing, including recruitment, supervision, performance management, engagement, and training.
  • Oversee program budget and contracts with partners and suppliers in collaboration with finance and administration departments.
  • Review and audit project files to ensure proper documentation and adherence to service delivery standards.
  • Plan and coordinate service delivery schedules, considering partner, volunteer, mentor, and employer guest speaker availability.
  • Manage and oversee the development of online assets, tools, platforms, and curriculums with internal stakeholders.
  • Establish and build partnerships to support and enhance project delivery.
  • Compile and analyze program data, and prepare reports for ACCES and funders.
  • Plan and prepare funding proposals for program sustainability and growth.
  • Report project activities and make recommendations to senior management for efficiency and effectiveness improvements.
  • Plan, implement, and oversee key program activities such as client and employer outreach, service delivery scheduling, evaluation, and data collection.
  • Establish and facilitate the activities of a Program Advisory Committee.
  • Follow and enforce health and safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including support of site activities and occasional evening supervisor shift rotation.

Requirements

  • University/College degree
  • 5 years of related work and management experience
  • Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector and working in a diverse community is an asset
  • Knowledge of emerging labour market needs and trends in the healthcare sector is required
  • Understanding of labour market challenges and barriers, particularly as they relate to internationally trained healthcare professionals is required
  • Experience with working in an online service delivery environment, learning management systems, and other online tools is considered a strong asset
  • Project Management (PMP) designation, or in progress, is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Collaborative decision-making skills
  • Open and effective communication skills with a value for diversity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective interaction with all organizational levels, clients, employers, partners, and funders
  • Ability to prioritize and strong time management skills
  • Flexibility to respond to time-sensitive issues and changing priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Exceptional planning, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Pro-active approach with a sense of urgency
  • Proven strength in human resources areas such as performance management, team leadership, and staff coaching/mentoring
  • Experienced and highly proficient in MS Office environment, including Zoom, WebEx, and Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to travel between project/program delivery locations and/or partner and employer organizations as needed
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends
