Responsibilities
- Lead all daily operations of the store to ensure achievement of business objectives.
- Ensure all team members are engaged and successful in their roles.
- Continuously motivate and support the team to drive store sales.
- Recruit and lead a diverse team, while coaching in the moment and being an inspirational leader.
- Cultivate expert knowledge of Parachute products, branding, and design.
- Recruit and hire a high-performing team, determining needs and making hiring decisions.
- Manage end-to-end recruiting, including sourcing, reviewing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
- Communicate actively with applicants, respecting the candidate experience.
- Support a store culture aligned with Parachute Core Values.
- Monitor team engagement through one-on-ones and regular check-ins.
- Deliver feedback and coaching as needed.
- Problem-solve and resolve employee concerns at the store level.
- Share observations with the District Manager regarding team, business, and community.
- Influence and work through the leadership team, holding self and team accountable.
- Ensure the team utilizes all training systems and completes learning objectives.
- Manage payroll and schedule adjustments to achieve targets within compliance.
- Lead a team of 5-10 retail store team members.
- Achieve quarterly store KPIs and communicate them to the store team.
- Develop strategies to ensure performance standards are met.
- Set and manage measurable goals for the store team by quarter.
- Become an expert in Parachute products and coach the store team to the same level.
- Stay updated on new arrivals, features, benefits, and pricing.
- Lead the store to ensure the best possible customer experience.
- Communicate information to customers and model HOME selling skills.
- Coach, teach, and train the store team using available resources.
- Engage in ongoing community outreach and connections by planning and executing events.
- Lead, model, teach, and coach for a consistent focus on customer engagement and sales floor leadership.
- Understand reporting and translate results into workable strategies.
- Monitor Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and implement action plans for improvement.
- Resolve customer concerns to a positive outcome.
- Build loyalty through in-store experience using CRM data capture and omni-channel solutions.
- Utilize trade and design service tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business partners.
- Analyze monthly P&L statements to manage budgets and achieve EBITDA.
- Manage to the store budget on a quarterly basis.
- Adhere to scheduling expectations and SOPs for accurate and timely pay.
- Utilize the scheduling system to plan schedules within budget.
- Ensure equitable leadership coverage on the schedule.
- Oversee accurate timekeeping, including daily timesheet approval.
- Monitor and ensure appropriate usage of PTO, sick time, and other leave balances.
- Ensure meal and break procedures are consistently followed.
- Proactively solve problems related to scheduling, timekeeping, and compliance.
- Direct, manage, and communicate daily and weekly workload.
- Establish priorities for the week based on reporting and leadership direction.
- Ensure all communications are relayed to the store team.
- Become an in-store expert on POS systems, reporting systems, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure accurate completion of returns, transfers, and donations.
- Maintain accurate inventory recordkeeping.
- Lead and ensure adherence to inventory operations requirements.
- Manage and support inventory levels to maximize full-price selling.
- Ensure new hires complete required training within timelines.
- Troubleshoot issues and problem-solve changes to the onboarding experience.
- Adhere to high standards of maintenance and organization of the stock room/BOH area.
- Ensure maintenance needs are communicated and solved promptly.
- Respond to calls or contact from security vendors if an incident occurs after hours.
- Utilize the Retail Support Ticket process for all business and operational needs.
- Submit tickets in a timely manner and follow up on requests.
- Monitor stock levels for Parachute-branded supplies and make special orders.
- Lead the execution of the Parachute Visual Merchandising strategy.
- Adhere to and execute all visual operations standards.
- Maintain floor presentation, accounting for sell-through and inventory levels.
- Proactively evaluate sales and inventory levels to merchandise product effectively.
- Ensure brand integrity is reflected to the customer through presentation, product, and people.
- Create a positive in-store experience through visual standards.
- Train and support the store team in visual merchandising needs.
- Assess store business trends and sell-through by category to identify opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a partnership with the Visual team to align and execute visual initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership in retail management, hospitality, customer service, or showroom management in a high-volume, high-profile, customer-focused environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience with hiring, training, and leading a team is required.
- Retail visual merchandising and display experience is required.
- Open availability (Full Time, 40+ hours per week, including weekends and holidays) is required.
- Ability to work in a flexible, customer-focused environment.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds on a regular basis, and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Frequently physically active, including standing, walking, reaching, and grasping for long periods.
- Ability to regularly bend or kneel.
- Ability to regularly climb ladders or step stools.
- Ability to go up and down stairs occasionally, carrying and moving boxes.
- Ability to frequently communicate face to face, on the phone, or via electronic means.
- Occasional overnight travel <5% may be required.
