About the Role
This role is responsible for the effective management of caretakers and grounds maintenance staff to ensure adequate resources are available on-site to meet statutory legislation, including Building Safety and compliance requirements. The position involves resource and workload planning, quality assurance through audits, and maintaining documented records.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the cleaning and grounds maintenance of properties to a high standard.
- Inspecting works to ensure value for money and efficient material use.
- Maintaining and promoting health and safety compliance.
- Handling complaints and service breakdowns to meet customer expectations.
- Collaborating with colleagues to arrange, prioritize, and complete work efficiently.
- Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, focusing on the customer.
Requirements
- Qualified to ILM membership, NVQ Level 3 in any trade, or currently undertaking the qualification.
- Recent experience in a similar role, preferably in building maintenance or facilities management.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
- Proven experience in meeting deadlines and prioritizing workloads.
- Basic user of Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, Outlook or similar).
- Full valid UK driving licence.
- Must bring original certification verifying proof of qualifications to the interview.
- A basic Disclosure and Barring Service check will be necessary for the successful applicant.
