About the Role
This role is responsible for overseeing all facility operations, including managing staff, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. The goal is to optimize distribution center performance, reduce costs, and provide outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Manage all facility operations, including scheduling and management of drivers, supervisors, leads, and distribution center associates.
- Oversee day-to-day distribution center operations, including unloading and loading of shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Align workload, people management, and process objectives.
- Enforce safety, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, fleet, material handling, and shipping requirements.
- Safeguard distribution center operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures.
- Oversee a safe, clean, and orderly operating environment.
- Ensure accuracy of shipments and maintain the facility in good condition.
- Sustain distribution center staff through recruitment, selection, and training.
- Identify and execute coaching opportunities to develop team members.
- Verify inventory accuracy through cycle count process.
- Ensure efficient and courteous handling of all will call orders.
- Ensure fleet compliance with DOT regulations.
- Implement monthly/yearly budgets for cost control.
- Utilize a “Creativity before Capital” approach to managing and leading facilities.
- Develop strategies and programs to reduce costs and lead times, increase inventory turns and order turnaround time.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
Requirements
- A B.S./B.A. degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Management, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ operations leadership experience preferred.
- Experience managing fleet of delivery vehicles under DOT compliance.
- Operate a vehicle under DOT compliance.
- Possess a valid regular driver’s license; some states may require a Class D license.
- Insurable by Company’s insurance carrier.
- Ability to operate a lift (training will be provided for certification).
- Ability to become Smith System certified (training will be provided).

- $80,000.00 - $90,000.00
