About the Role

Sodexo's Airline Lounge Segment seeks an Executive Chef for the American Express Centurion Lounge at JFK International Airport. This role leads the culinary experience, delivering upscale dining and enhancing the guest experience through innovative menus. The Executive Chef will oversee all culinary operations, including food preparation, production, presentation, and team leadership, maintaining high standards of quality and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis, and food production forecasting.
Ensure Sodexo Culinary standards, including recipe compliance and food quality, are implemented.
Develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations.
Ensure food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standard compliance.
Maintain working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems.

Requirements

2-3 years of Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager leadership experience in a recognized concept or company.
Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and Office.
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards.
Strong coaching and employee development skills.
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years management experience.
Minimum 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
