About the Role

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key event components, including vendor coordination, guest experience, brand partnerships, and a charitable silent auction. It begins as a one-event opportunity with potential for growth into a broader leadership position focused on community operations and experience. The ideal candidate is proactive, communicative, and genuinely cares about creating exceptional experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead vendor coordination from confirmation through event day, including communication, logistics, setup, and support.
  • Own the welcome and check-in experience, ensuring guests feel welcomed, informed, and connected.
  • Coordinate brand partnerships and product activations, including samples, giveaways, and in-kind collaborations.
  • Drive the silent auction initiative from planning to execution, including sourcing items, coordinating donors, setup, bidding, and follow-up.
  • Track open items, deadlines, and responsibilities across all assigned areas.
  • Coordinate with team members when projects overlap and escalate decisions when needed.
  • Be present during setup and the event to ensure each area is ready and to help solve issues as they arise.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve the event and community experience.

Requirements

  • Vendors know exactly where to be and what to do.
  • The welcome team feels prepared, supported, and confident.
  • Guests experience a warm, organized arrival.
  • Brand partnerships feel intentional and aligned with the community.
  • The silent auction runs smoothly and creates a meaningful impact.
  • Opportunities for improvement are identified and acted on proactively.
  • Leadership is free from managing the day-to-day details of these areas because you’ve taken true ownership.

Skills

  • Highly organized with excellent follow-through.
  • Comfortable managing multiple moving pieces at once.
  • Warm, social, and great with people.
  • Clear and professional communicator.
  • Resourceful and skilled at problem-solving.
  • Proactive; you notice what needs to happen before being asked.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to represent the community well.
  • Excited about helping build a mission-driven community.
  • Experience with events, partnerships, hospitality, fundraising, or community operations is a plus, but not required.

Location

  • Fully Remote

Work Type

  • One-event opportunity
  • Potential for long-term growth

Experience Level

  • Ownership of key event components
  • Potential for broader leadership position

Benefits

  • Start with real ownership: this is not an assistant role; you’ll lead meaningful pieces of the event.
  • Work closely with a growing community: your ideas, judgment, and initiative will matter.
  • Help shape future initiatives: including charitable projects, volunteer leadership programs, dinners, and other community experiences.
  • Build systems that scale: around vendors, partners, volunteers, and the overall member experience.
  • Potential for long-term growth: if the partnership works well, this role may evolve into an ongoing leadership position in community operations.
