Responsibilities

• Development of modern and high-performance HMI functions for e-bike displays
• Conception and implementation of IoT and connectivity functions for the next Yamaha HMI generation
• Development and integration of modern GUI elements, animations, and touch interactions
• UI/UX optimization, e.g., evaluation and implementation of ergonomic operating concepts, usability tests and derivation of improvements
• Collaboration with Cloud, App, and Motor Control teams to define holistic system functions
• Support in the implementation of Cyber Security mechanisms

Requirements

• Completed degree in Technical Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or a specialized further training and several years of professional experience in the relevant field
• In-depth practical knowledge in C/C++, Embedded Linux (Yocto, RT-Patches), ideally also RTOS (Zephyr, FreeRTOS), and common bus and communication protocols (especially CAN, BLE, USB)
• Solid expertise in OTA mechanisms, BLE stacks, ANT+ communication, modern connectivity protocols, and basic IoT architectures
• Experience in UI/UX principles and in the technical implementation of modern graphical user interfaces (e.g., LVGL, Qt/QML, Embedded Wizard)
• Ability to transfer design specifications into high-performance, intuitive, and ergonomic HMI solutions
• Team-oriented way of working, strong ownership, high motivation, and passion for smart HMIs
• Fluent German (C1) and English (B2) language skills, both written and spoken
