About the Role
This role focuses on developing, planning, and continuously improving end-to-end logistics concepts, coordinating processes with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. You will contribute to cost, quality, and delivery targets, support production, and assist in acquiring new projects by developing competitive logistics concepts.
Responsibilities
- Development, planning, and continuous improvement of end-to-end logistics concepts (inbound logistics, internal logistics, outbound logistics)
- Coordination of logistics processes with production, suppliers, customers, and logistics partners
- Analysis and optimization of transport processes, costs, and lead times to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets
- Support of series production and product changes by adapting logistics concepts and identifying efficiency improvements
- Contribution to the acquisition of new projects through the development of competitive logistics concepts
- Ensuring compliance with customs, export control, and international trade regulations
- Classification of goods (customs tariff numbers), determination of origin and preference, and management of master data (e.g., customs tariff numbers)
- Creation and management of export/import documents and customs declarations
- Review and management of sanctions, export restrictions, and regulatory requirements
- Acting as the main point of contact for customs authorities and external partners (freight forwarders, agents)
- Management of Intrastat declarations and customs-related KPIs
Requirements
- Completed studies in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or comparable qualifications/training
- Specialized knowledge of customs and foreign trade regulations as well as national and international export control
- Planning and definition of standards, along with good knowledge and understanding of logistics processes
- In-depth know-how of international trade regulations and logistics processes, as well as compliance with country-specific regulations
- Strong analytical skills, communication, and stakeholder management competencies
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics 365 and/or SAP) and logistics tools
- Very good communication and teamwork skills, as well as negotiation skills
- Very good written and spoken German (C1) and English (C1) skills
