Responsibilities

• Planning, coordination, and realization of all project-related procurement of purchased parts, tools, and prototypes.
• Reviewing the possibility of taking over existing series parts.
• Target price setting for at least all A-parts in coordination with the central buyers responsible for material groups within the scope of the offer workshop.
• Creating a detailed procurement concept and coordinating with the business unit coordinator and the project manager.
• Initiating quality pre-planning, discussing with the supplier after assessment by the customer team quality employee, and defining and documenting measures.
• Procurement of prototypes in various development phases.
• Timely ordering of initial samples and securing deadlines through progress monitoring.
• Cost reduction on parts/assemblies in the development phase through early supplier involvement.
• Carrying out change management (inquiry, negotiation, contracts), as well as contributing economic and qualitative improvement suggestions.
• Supplier assessment regarding the defined fulfillment of project and deadline goals.
• Conception and coordination of the spare parts business with sales and central purchasing.

Requirements

• Completed university degree or completed vocational training.
• Several years (+3 years) of specialized professional experience.
• Sound knowledge of target costing and value analysis.
• Knowledge of contract law and confident negotiation skills.
• Strong communication, assertiveness, and negotiation skills.
• Analytical mindset and a good feel for market and technology trends.
• Confident use of MS Office, MS Project, SAP R/3 MM module.
• Fluent German (C1) and English (B2) in spoken and written form.
