About the Role
CACI is seeking a Cybersecurity Software Engineer to join the Spectral Cyber team, supporting the U.S. Navy's $1.2B Spectral program. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and automating enterprise-wide security solutions for next-generation signals intelligence, electronic warfare, and information operations technologies.
Responsibilities
- Automate cybersecurity tools within infrastructure as code (IaC) for on-prem and distributed platforms with Zero Trust capability.
- Engineer security controls into IaC, PaaS, and mission applications while automating IAM, encryption, logging, and monitoring compliance.
- Automate hardening of IaC, PaaS, and mission applications using STIG/SRGs and CIS benchmarks.
- Support secure software deployments and containerized platforms.
- Integrate cybersecurity tools into pipelines and automate outputs into dynamic decision-making dashboards.
- Modernize and produce evidence for continuous delivery, monitoring, and system improvements.
- Streamline vulnerability remediation and engineer system resiliency, drift correction, and adaptability.
- Develop Ansible playbooks and scripts using developer tools.
- Enable system patch management, SBOM, RBOM, and artifact generation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with software, IT, DevOps, and hardware teams to improve security posture throughout the SDLC.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, cyber engineering, systems engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cyber engineering, including at least 2 years with modern software technologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in Kubernetes security engineering, secure SDLC deployment, and cloud-native security.
- Hands-on experience with cyber engineering toolsets including SIEM, SAST, DAST, SCA, and vulnerability exposure technologies.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust tools, PaaS artifact generation, and continuous monitoring.
- Working knowledge of IaC, PaaS, mission applications, metrics reporting, and telemetry pipelines.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph.
- Sec+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of onboarding.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language and Ansible playbooks.
- Working knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP stack, firewalls, and packet inspection tools.
