About the Role
Join a rapidly growing North American manufacturer of baked goods as a finance leader. This role provides strategic financial oversight for multiple manufacturing plants, repack facilities, and a distribution center across Canada and the USA, partnering with leadership to drive operational excellence and long-term value.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the finance leader for 8 manufacturing plants, 2 repack facilities, and 1 distribution center.
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain leadership to drive financial performance and value creation.
- Advise Plant Leaders and management on cost structure, capital allocation, and investment decisions.
- Lead financial strategy for productivity, capacity optimization, and network efficiency.
- Translate operational priorities into financial strategies and scenario-based trade-offs.
- Provide financial oversight for manufacturing, logistics, distribution, and inventory.
- Deliver transparency on operational drivers impacting financial results.
- Lead the annual operating plan process and forecasting updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience in manufacturing or CPG.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading finance teams supporting plant operations, costing, and supply chain.
- Proven experience partnering with senior leaders on strategic business plans and financial forecasts.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing finance, standard costing, inventory accounting, and operational KPIs.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and decision-support capabilities.
- Experience supporting phased SAP implementation and rollout initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and mentor high-performing teams.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong project management experience in delivering business improvements.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
