About the Role
CASES is seeking a participant-centered job readiness instructor for its new workforce development program CRED. The ideal candidate has experience working with individuals who have systems involvement and believes in the possibility of change. The instructor must be experienced in facilitating job readiness workshops and providing tailored employment coaching.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support participants in improving their work readiness skills
- Facilitate work readiness workshops including resume preparation, interviewing, professionalism, communication, and problem solving
- Facilitate work support workshops including stress management and budgeting
- Collaborate with team to ensure successful advancement of participants to internships, credential obtainment, and job placement
- Coordinate and facilitate recruitment days, job fairs, and employment panels
- Work collaboratively with case managers and job developers during a 3-month follow-up phase to ensure participant success
- Complete, accurate, and timely submission of all documentation, referrals, follow-ups, and verifications
- Perform other duties as needed or required
Requirements
- HS diploma/HSE diploma at minimum
- At least 3 years of relevant experience and credentials or certifications related to the program's in-demand sector training
- Applicable experience supporting young adults in occupational and life skills training, college preparation and enrollment, and/or coordination of training and/or tutoring services
- Passion for working with at-risk populations
- Experience in social service or employment and training programs
- Experience in the industry pathways of construction and service
