About the Role

RVA is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join their Land Development team. This role will primarily assist Project Managers in coordinating construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Completing pre-design site reconnaissance and surveys.
  • Assisting with quantity calculations and preparation of tender documents.
  • Carrying out contract administration duties.
  • Reviewing and/or preparing Payment Certificates.
  • Client contact and coordination of construction stage activities.
  • Coordinating site representative staff for Land Development projects.
  • Performing site reviews during construction, including full-time and/or part-time site representative duties.
  • Preparing site diary and site review reports.
  • Undertaking as-built surveys and measurements.
  • AutoCAD/Civil 3D drafting for as-built drawings and records.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a civil engineering diploma program at an accredited college.
  • 5 years or more of sewer, water, and roadwork experience for an engineering consultant, municipality, or contractor.
  • Valid class G driver’s licence.
  • Possession of own vehicle for transportation between office and assigned work sites.
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients.
  • Self-starter with initiative to drive pursuits and projects forward within a collaborative team framework.
  • Experience or aptitude for meeting timelines and budgets.
  • Proven capabilities in writing reports and other technical documents.
  • Familiarity with local design and construction standards and requirements for permits and approvals.
  • Superior oral and written English communication skills.
