About the Role
We are seeking a Data Engineer with over 2 years of experience to join our expanding data engineering team, focusing on client delivery. This role involves collaborating with client teams and internal engineers to build and maintain modern data platforms within regulated financial services environments. The position is hands-on, emphasizing pipeline construction, data model development, and transforming business requirements into reliable data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build reliable ingestion pipelines to efficiently and securely move client data from source systems into the platform.
- Develop data pipelines adhering to agreed SLAs, prioritizing production reliability.
- Collaborate with domain SMEs and delivery teams to translate business logic into accurate and trusted pipeline outputs.
- Design data models, including Data Vault 2.0 and Kimball dimensional models, to support auditability and trusted reporting.
- Support testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Contribute to engineering standards and delivery best practices within the team.
- Implement LLM-based processing in pipelines alongside deterministic logic.
- Work on delivery teams to build AI-enabled solutions, applying trusted data to client challenges.
- Share delivery work learnings and contribute to internal assets, tooling, and practices.
Requirements
- 2+ years of data engineering experience.
- Production experience with Databricks or Snowflake.
- Strong SQL and Python skills.
- Comfort with PySpark or Snowpark.
- Experience with at least one cloud vendor (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including familiarity with core services beyond the data platform.
- Working knowledge of dimensional modelling (Kimball) and/or Data Vault 2.0.
- Strong attention to quality, documentation, and delivery discipline.
