About the Role

This position will support the fulfillment of organizational objectives by developing and optimizing community fundraising and volunteer initiatives, serving as the primary contact for regional volunteer teams.
Responsibilities
- Maintain existing donor relationships and partnerships within an allocated area.
- Explore and develop new relationships and partnerships to broaden community outreach and increase donors.
- Manage stakeholder relationships through regular meetings, providing feedback, and exploring mutual offerings.
- Organize Jummah or Taraweeh collections for campaigns.
- Distribute campaign materials at mosques and gatherings.
- Set up fundraisers at mosques and in the community to raise funds and awareness.
- Meet fundraising targets and ensure return on investment.
- Formalize partnerships with individuals and networks by establishing Memorandums of Understanding or contracts.
- Provide fundraising support to stakeholders.
- Respond to fundraising and other inquiries regarding regional activities.
- Communicate performance and provide regular updates to the Line Manager.
- Utilize social media platforms to promote Islamic Relief messaging, campaigns, activities, and appeals.
- Build a regional volunteer team through recruitment, training, and management.
- Lead the regional volunteer team in planning and executing grassroots community events.
- Lead the regional volunteer team in executing larger IRC events, challenges, and tours.
- Assist with fundraising activities in the region.
- Lead the volunteer team to promote and obtain attendance at all IRC fundraising events and initiatives.
- Attend and network at local and IRC events to build relationships and recruit volunteers.
- Lead regional volunteer teams in managing local events or event participation in consultation with the line manager.
- Represent the organization at IR and non-IR events.
- Ensure appropriate materials and equipment are available for events.
- Load, deliver, and return materials and equipment to and from functions.
- Maintain supplies of fundraising/promotional materials.
Requirements
- Experience in establishing and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in project coordination, including events and campaigns.
- Experience in organizing and supervising events.
- Experience in recruiting, managing, and developing volunteers.
- Knowledge and understanding of the local region and community.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and manage volunteers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Strong motivation and empathy toward the aims and objectives of the organization.
- Numerical skills, ability to work accurately under pressure, and attention to detail.
- Ability to represent Islamic Relief in a wide range of situations.
- IT literate with ability to use Google Suite, databases, and project management tools.
- Strong organizational skills, including prioritizing, planning work, setting and achieving deadlines, and establishing monitoring systems.
- Current local driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Flexible approach to work to accommodate events, functions, and work activity.
- Willingness to travel nationally at short notice.
