About the Role
Everest is seeking an execution-oriented AI leader to drive the development and adoption of Artificial Intelligence capabilities across the organization. This role will identify and prioritize high-value AI opportunities, define the enterprise AI roadmap, and partner cross-functionally to deliver measurable business outcomes. The VP, Group Head of AI will serve as a senior leader within the Global Operations & IT organization and act as an advisor to the Everest Group executive leadership team. They will ensure AI initiatives align with company strategy, operational priorities, risk consideration and customer needs within an evolving reinsurance and global wholesale and specialty market.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the enterprise AI strategy aligned to business objectives and priorities.
- Identify and prioritize AI value creation opportunities for underwriting, pricing, claims, and operations, partnering with business unit leaders to identify use cases with the highest ROI and competitive advantage potential.
- Build an industry leading AI organization by attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional talent.
- Collaborate closely with the technology and data teams to scope requirements, define data and infrastructure needs, and ensure timely delivery of AI capabilities that support business objectives.
- Drive adoption and outcomes of AI solutions by working with underwriting, claims, and actuarial teams to embed AI insights into decision-making processes, measure business impact, and drive continuous improvement.
- Support organizational alignment and change management to drive AI adoption and business integration.
- Own AI strategy alignment with enterprise risk and compliance frameworks, working with Legal, Risk, and Compliance to ensure all AI initiatives meet regulatory requirements and maintain model transparency.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies, vendor solutions and market trends relative to the (re)insurance industry.
Requirements
- At least 10+ years of leadership experience in strategy transformation, technology, analytics or AI related functions.
- Experience leading enterprise initiatives within (re)insurance, financial services, or similarly regulated industries preferred.
- Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, generative AI, automation, and data-driven operating models.
- Technical fluency in AI, including an understanding of the infrastructure and technologies that enable AI capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to bridge business strategy and technical execution.
- Experience collaborating across insurance segment/product leadership, technology, and operations teams.
