About the Role
The Product Advisor is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting new business, and selling new and pre-owned vehicles. This role involves understanding product features, demonstrating vehicles, and ensuring a positive customer experience from sale to delivery.
Responsibilities
- Determine prospective client's vehicle needs through questioning and listening.
- Promote new business and expand the customer base through prospecting and referral networks.
- Sell new and pre-owned vehicles, including demonstrating vehicles and conducting test drives.
- Understand automotive terminology and stay updated on product technology.
- Be knowledgeable about all product features, specifications, prices, colors, options, and standard equipment.
- Participate in all available product training.
- Effectively use closing techniques and seek management assistance when necessary, focusing on profitability.
- Deliver new and pre-owned vehicles, ensuring customers understand operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
- Introduce customers to Service Department personnel to highlight service quality and efficiency.
- Set monthly productivity goals and plan strategies to achieve them.
- Follow all dealership processes and procedures to ensure high Customer Satisfaction Index ratings.
- Attend department meetings as required.
- Adhere to company safety policies and practices, and report accidents immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Good interpersonal skills for effective communication and information assimilation.
- Ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.
- Strong computer skills, including internet and MS Office, and ability to maintain computerized records.
- Effective negotiation skills and ability to make sound decisions.
- A Current OMVIC License.
- A valid Ontario Driver’s License with a good driving record.
