About the Role
Environmental Service Workers create a welcoming, safe, and comfortable environment for Residents through housekeeping and laundry services, supporting their dignity and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Washed and dried Residents’ clothing and linens, ensuring items were returned fresh and in good condition
- Disinfected and cleaned to support infection control
- Cleaned Residents’ rooms and common areas, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and bathrooms
- Followed WHMIS guidelines and safe handling procedures for all cleaning products
- Helped maintain a safe environment by adhering to Health & Safety Standards
- Worked as part of a supportive team, assisting coworkers and covering shifts as needed (days, evenings, weekends, and last-minute call-ins)
- Took pride in creating a comfortable, homelike environment for Residents every day
- Supported your team as needed
Requirements
- Experience in housekeeping and laundry (healthcare or hospitality setting an asset)
- Ability to operate commercial laundry and cleaning equipment (washer, dryer, auto-scrubber, vacuum, etc.)
- Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 months
- TB 2 Step updated within the last year
