About the Role
This role involves leading procurement activities across a range of indirect spend categories within a major infrastructure organisation. It's an opportunity to drive value, deliver savings, and manage end-to-end procurement in a complex environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead procurement activities across a range of indirect spend categories.
- Analyse spend data and identify cost-saving and value-creation opportunities.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned to business objectives.
- Run end-to-end procurement processes, including tendering and supplier selection.
- Negotiate commercial terms and contracts with suppliers.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Ensure procurement activities are conducted in line with governance and compliance requirements.
- Support the delivery of procurement projects within agreed timelines.
Requirements
- Proven procurement experience within an infrastructure, engineering or asset-intensive environment.
- Strong experience across indirect spend categories, including Engineering Services, Facilities Management (FM), and IT and Technology.
- Demonstrable experience identifying and delivering cost-saving initiatives.
- Experience managing procurement procedures from sourcing through to contract award.
- Strong supplier negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of and experience working within public sector procurement regulations.
- Experience operating within regulated or publicly funded environments.
