About the Role
As a Global Account Manager, you will manage affiliate campaigns for global clients using the Awin network. This role involves managing demanding and interesting affiliate programs, acting as the main point of contact for global strategic coordination, and ensuring consistent account management across all client territories. You will liaise with clients, collaborate with Awin Global Account Managers, and present quarterly to clients. This dynamic role suits someone with a strong understanding of affiliate marketing who thrives in a fast-paced, face-to-face environment, and can be creative, strategic, and unflappable when dealing with challenges.
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize assigned accounts to fulfill customer needs.
- Implement and advise on affiliate marketing concepts to optimize assigned accounts.
- Manage affiliate relationships for successful program management.
- Pro-actively solve client issues, escalating when necessary.
- Train clients in affiliate program operations for launch support.
- Independently produce account management documentation and reporting.
- Produce regular and bespoke reports on assigned programs.
- Support senior team members in managing larger brand clients.
- Attend client and networking events to enhance client relationships.
- Lead global affiliate strategy across all territories for assigned global clients.
- Act as an extension of the client’s team, bringing innovative ideas and strategic direction.
- Build close partnerships with key global affiliates, ensuring service is replicated and aligned in each territory.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Awin Account Managers to execute globally aligned strategy.
- Ensure good account management practices are delivered effectively by team members and share best practices across markets.
Requirements
- Approximately 2 years of account management experience in a relevant digital marketing role.
- Strong and professional communication (verbal and written) with the ability to exchange information clearly and concisely.
- Understanding of the affiliate marketing industry.
- Understanding of how affiliate marketing fits within the wider online marketing mix.
- Effective handling and/or escalation of issues within assigned accounts.
- Proven track record of successful client and team relationship building, including strong networking skills.
- Experience presenting commercial content to internal and external groups.
- Approachable and unflappable manner.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to self-motivate and optimize assigned accounts without day-to-day guidance.
