About the Role
This position is responsible for conducting trainings and directly monitoring the entire facility operation to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations, taking necessary steps to correct any issues that may arise.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a culture of accountability, professionalism, and commitment to company quality and safety standards.
- Alerts management to unsafe conditions and works with resources to correct them.
- Ensures associate safety compliance.
- Conducts periodic safety training.
- Investigates accidents as required.
- Manages the company safety program, ensuring OSHA, regulatory, and statutory compliance.
- Delivers or coordinates all regulatory or company required testing and training.
- Ensures ESD/FOD compliance, including periodic audits and procurement of ESD coats and uniforms.
- Monitors charges for ESD compliance.
- Implements and maintains site required documentation and records for the Emergency Health & Safety Management system.
- Oversees the administration and maintenance of company-wide training programs and records.
- Conducts regular audits of training systems.
- Identifies and leads or participates in continuous improvement activities.
- Conducts risk assessments and implements corrective actions.
- Organizes and oversees the Emergency Response Team, including training and certification.
- Encourages and solicits associate process improvement suggestions and works with parties to implement them.
- Monitors waste, including chemicals and batteries, and ensures proper disposal.
- Initiates improvement opportunities for waste reduction.
- Oversees and operates solvent recovery equipment.
- Is involved in storing, recovery, and distribution of production solvent.
- Maintains all safety equipment and required inspections or testing.
- Ability to work overtime.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to handle multiple project assignments.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.
- Proficient with ISO 9001 and AS9100.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Problem-solver.
- Possess computer skills including Microsoft Suite and database software.
- Five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work overtime.
