Responsibilities
- Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
- Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns.
- Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
- Ensure seasonal areas of the store are maintained.
- Perform opening and closing procedures.
- Process all corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information requests.
- Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
- Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits/receipts).
- Assist with loss prevention.
- Maintain areas of the store, including a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom, to company standards.
- Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
- Adhere to policies and procedures, including safety guidelines, and ensure all store associates follow company policies.
- Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
- Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions.
- Maintain the cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height.
- Meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
