About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Business Director to join our Brand Reputation team within the PR, Social & Influence division. This leadership role involves spearheading large-scale projects, driving growth, and cultivating strong client partnerships while fostering an inclusive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of accounts and manage team members to deliver high-quality work.
- Serve on the Brand Reputation & Corporate PR management team to help execute strategic plans.
- Lead or manage projects including risk management, responsible marketing, executive visibility, and pitches.
- Build and maintain trusted partnerships with mid-level and senior clients as a strategic advisor.
- Drive the agency's responsibility proposition to help clients address societal, environmental, and policy regulations.
- Interrogate briefs through a responsibility lens and provide counsel on campaign strengthening and reputational risk mitigation.
- Integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into client strategies.
- Contribute to the development of innovative PR approaches and thought leadership initiatives.
- Oversee large, complex projects including resource allocation, risk management, and progress tracking.
- Lead new business initiatives, develop proposals, pitch to prospects, and negotiate contracts.
- Inspire and mentor a team of PR professionals in a collaborative environment.
- Manage budgets, track project profitability, and identify cost optimization opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire teams.
- Strong client relationship management skills at senior levels.
- Strategic thinking and business acumen with a holistic view of projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Track record of driving growth and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- 10+ years of experience in public relations or a related field.
- Experience working with a variety of client types.
- Capability to navigate fast-changing business landscapes and provide ad-hoc strategic counsel.
- Experience with crisis communications and reputation management.
- Proficiency in PR measurement and reporting tools.
- Understanding and proficient application of AI in professional workflows.
