About the Role
This role assists in coordinating daily maintenance activities, including training, scheduling, and communicating job expectations. The position is responsible for repairing and installing production equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring equipment functions properly.
Responsibilities
- Assists and leads assigned activities associated with maintenance activities.
- Diagnoses, analyzes, and investigates malfunctions of plant packaging equipment and repairs/adjusts to keep in good operating condition.
- Troubleshoots equipment, repairing/adjustments as necessary for maximum operating efficiency.
- Replaces/repairs motors, gearboxes, drive units and all other packaging equipment components as required.
- Monitors equipment performance and reports inefficiencies caused by equipment or materials.
- Performs packaging equipment changeovers for different-size containers or components.
- Maintains assigned records or downtime logs of equipment malfunction or parts used for repair.
- Complies with good manufacturing practices, safety and audit standards.
- Monitors performance and productivity to maximize operational excellence.
- Identifies areas of improvement and establishes and updates existing work procedures and practices.
- Assists with determining staffing levels and assigning workload, including training of maintenance staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar position required, including leading or planning the work of other teammates.
- Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels within the organization.
- Capable of multitasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
- Must be computer proficient with the ability to type and update records quickly and accurately.
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. above the head.
- Must be able to create, promote, and maintain a culture that conducts all maintenance operations from a foundation of safety and accident prevention.
- Must be able to promote and maintain an environment that reflects Tito’s core values and beliefs.
- Employees must meet the position’s minimum criteria, have held their current position for at least 6 months, and were not subjected to disciplinary action in the past year.
