About the Role

Jericho Road Community Health Center is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join the Medical Care Department at Oishei Children’s Hospital. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a global movement focused on health equity and community well-being.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat conditions affecting women during and after pregnancy.
• Educate pregnant women about the childbirth process.
• Provide maternity care services in a hospital setting.
• Improve patient outcomes and deliver quality care within assigned practice areas.
• Participate in the obstetrical call pool with other Jericho Road clinicians.
• Follow up with patients regarding lab results or other medical care concerns.
• Offer patient and family-centered care in a cost-effective manner.
• Provide holistic patient care, addressing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
• Ensure clinical care meets or exceeds goals for clinical outcomes, quality assurance, regulations, and patient satisfaction.
• Maintain electronic medical records efficiently and maximize resources.
• Create a learning plan incorporating new research and changes to standard of practice.
• Participate in risk management activities for FTCA malpractice coverage.
• Maintain current certifications, including mandatory annual and CPR training.
• Adhere to professional code of ethics and comply with Article 28 and FQHC requirements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical and program teams.
• Ensure all actions, conduct, and communications represent the organization professionally.
• Uphold and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, mission, and organizational values.

Requirements

• Certified nurse midwife (CNM).
• RN, Masters or Nurse Doctorate (ND) Certification by American Nurses Credentialing Counsel (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, or equivalent certifying body.
• Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working relationships.
• Excellent patient-centered skills and clinical capabilities.
