About the Role

This position is responsible for designing and teaching undergraduate college-level financial literacy and planning courses in the Management Department at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. The role requires timely issue resolution, excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, independent work, project leadership, and collaboration. Superior verbal and written communication skills are essential. Duties also include attending the West Point Lab for Economic Security and providing end-of-semester reports on cadet performance.

Responsibilities

Design and teach undergraduate college-level financial literacy and planning courses.
Address issues in a timely manner.
Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Work independently, lead projects, and collaborate with team members.
Utilize superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Attend the West Point Lab for Economic Security.
Provide end-of-semester reports on cadet performance.

Requirements

Master’s degree in business administration or a closely related field.
At least one (1) year of teaching experience.
AACSB accredited degree.
College-level teaching experience.
Five (5) or more years of work experience in the field of finance.
Experience with Process-Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL).
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Certification.
Must satisfactorily complete a Federal Background check and all pre-employment requirements.
