About the Role
This role sits at the intersection of compliance, marketing, and product, ensuring customer-facing materials and application flows meet regulatory and partner bank requirements. You will build the marketing compliance review function from the ground up, creating checklists, approval workflows, and audit-ready records in a fast-paced, high-growth fintech environment.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve marketing materials, disclosures, and application flows for regulatory and partner bank compliance.
- Support new card program launches by ensuring accurate incorporation of required disclosures.
- Partner with marketing, product, design, and operations to provide practical, customer-friendly regulatory guidance.
- Interpret and apply requirements under Regulation Z, Regulation B, UDAAP, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and FCRA.
- Maintain and update marketing compliance policies, procedures, and review checklists.
- Document marketing reviews to ensure audit-ready records and clear approval workflows.
- Escalate complex issues to senior leadership with clear analysis and recommendations.
- Support partner bank reviews and respond to compliance-related inquiries.
- Contribute to organizational training and awareness regarding compliant marketing practices.
Requirements
- 4 to 5 years of experience in compliance, legal, risk, or a related function within banking, fintech, or financial services.
- Working knowledge of consumer protection and marketing-related regulations including Regulation Z, Regulation B, UDAAP, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and FCRA.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to review content through a regulatory lens.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally.
- Comfort using AI tools to improve efficiency and review coverage.
- Proven ability to operate independently without a defined playbook.
