About the Role
Central Security Service Bureau LLC is seeking a passionate and experienced NYS (IDC) Certified Security Guard Instructor in the Bronx, NY, to deliver high-quality, state-approved training and shape the next generation of security professionals.
Responsibilities
- Deliver NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS)-approved security guard training courses in compliance with state standards.
- Instruct students on security fundamentals, legal powers of arrest, emergency procedures, and professional conduct.
- Develop and update curriculum materials to align with current NYS IDC training requirements.
- Evaluate and assess student performance through examinations and practical demonstrations.
- Maintain accurate student attendance records, certifications, and training documentation.
- Ensure a safe, professional, and engaging classroom learning environment.
- Stay current with changes to NYS security guard licensing laws and training regulations.
Requirements
- Active NYS DCJS-issued Instructor Development Course (IDC) certification is required.
- Prior experience as a licensed security guard or law enforcement professional strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of NYS security guard licensing laws, regulations, and DCJS requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate diverse groups of adult learners.
- Highly organized with attention to detail for record-keeping and compliance reporting.
- Must be reliable, professional, and punctual with a commitment to student success.
