About the Role

Lead the Back of House operations, ensuring efficiency, stock management, and team development to create an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily Back of House operations, maintaining stockroom standards, processes, and efficiencies.
  • Coach, motivate, and develop the operational team through feedback, training, and performance management.
  • Manage stock, inventory accuracy, replenishment, and shrink prevention.
  • Monitor operational KPIs to improve productivity, efficiency, and stock availability.
  • Support department planning, forecasting stock, and ensuring operational readiness for key trading periods.
  • Drive health & safety compliance, including checks, risk management, and creating a safe environment.
  • Conduct investigations, manage performance conversations, and support people processes.
  • Collaborate with Store Management and Department Managers to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead operational floor walks and audits to ensure standards and compliance.
  • Communicate clearly to the team through daily huddles, briefs, and updates.
  • Act as a key leader within the store and assume wider management responsibilities as needed.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, talent development, and enhanced operational performance.

Requirements

  • Previous retail management experience with a focus on operations, stock management, or back-of-house leadership.
  • Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, stock control, replenishment, and stock accuracy.
  • Ability to analyze KPIs, identify trends, and implement action plans for operational improvements.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering compliance, operational, and safety standards.
  • Experience managing performance, conducting difficult conversations, and supporting employee development.
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities in a retail environment.
  • Role is subject to a Basic DBS check.
