About the Role

Change Grow Live is a charity dedicated to making a difference in the lives of service users by offering support and respect in a safe environment. The Programmes Facilitator will engage service users, ensuring they access the right intervention at the right time. This is a prison-based role requiring security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Work with service users to initiate recovery from drug and/or alcohol dependence.
  • Enable service users in prison to build their own recovery capital.
  • Support service users to move into long-term sustained recovery and social reintegration.
  • Develop and deliver group psychosocial interventions.
  • Facilitate the Atlas programme.
  • Conduct pod working tailored to caseload needs.
  • Be creative and innovative to meet service user needs.
  • Promote access into treatment.
  • Encourage engagement with underrepresented communities.
  • Assess suitability for groups related to risk and special needs.
  • Work closely with prison partners to schedule attendance.

Requirements

  • Sensitivity in working with complex and diverse needs.
  • Demonstrate a strong recovery focus.
  • Knowledge of a range of psychosocial interventions.
  • Ability to manage change successfully while prioritizing service user needs.
  • Understand the importance of information governance processes.
  • Commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards.
  • Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden professional knowledge and skills.
  • Contribute to and oversee the learning and development of others.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level.

  • HMP Wandsworth is a Cat B local prison in Wandsworth, South West London.
  • It is a dynamic and busy service due to population of prisoners at HMP Wandsworth being predominantly on remand.
