About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead the technical roadmap for the Capital One Travel Core Platform Team. This role requires a former engineer with end-to-end software shipping experience who wants to drive product strategy. You will centralize shared components, enable AI-driven development, modernize testing and deployment, and make the platform desirable for other teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Platform Team's technical roadmap end-to-end, sequencing workstreams into a coherent, prioritized plan.
  • Drive the centralization of the shared component library and migration of all Travel funnels onto it.
  • Lead the AI-driven development unlock, including design-to-code mapping and AI grounding.
  • Modernize deployment, testing, and observability processes.
  • Prototype and validate technical concepts rapidly using AI tools.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and design-system working sessions as a technical peer.
  • Manage the operating cadence, including stakeholder reviews and developer surveys.
  • Translate ambiguous mandates into clear technical requirements and a defensible sequence.
  • Champion engineers and consuming teams, ensuring developer satisfaction and adoption.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in human-centered design, business focus, technology drive, integrated problem-solving, and transformational leadership.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management, or Software Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on software engineering experience shipping production software.
  • At least 1 year of experience using AI-assisted development tools.
  • Engineering Background: personally shipped production software and experienced the full lifecycle.
  • Technical Acumen: credible with engineering partners, comfortable in architectural discussions, fluent in modern front-end platforms, design systems, CI/CD, and observability.
  • AI Fluency & Hands-On Prototyping: direct experience using AI-powered development tools to prototype and validate ideas.
  • Delivers Business Results: comfortable owning a technical roadmap and making tradeoffs.
  • Problem Solving: drives toward solutions in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Dealing with Ambiguity: thrives with limited information and a broad mandate.
  • Customer First: treats engineers and consuming teams as customers.

Salary/Compensations

  • $184,000 - $210,000
