About the Role
This is a senior, full-time role leading operations and facilities across all US locations. You will drive and develop the operating model, optimize costs, negotiate contracts, and build empowered site teams. You will own the US operations budget, regional budget targets, vendor relationships, standards, and compliance, serving as the go-to operational authority for the region.
Responsibilities
- Own the US operations cost and regional efficiencies to create and optimize targets.
- Implement a baseline, calibration, and optimization process for costs, contracts, and services.
- Deploy standards, routines, central catalogue, and operations app across all US sites.
- Identify, size, and track savings against targets.
- Lead and develop site teams in collaboration with Community Manager teams.
- Partner with the Managing Director to set the operational framework (standards, contracts, budget).
- Coach, train, and mentor Area and Community Managers on routines, standards, and app usage.
- Empower site teams to manage first-line facilities within clear spend authority.
- Oversee building systems, cleaning, and maintenance across the region to a best-in-class standard.
- Own health & safety, statutory compliance, and security across the region.
- Act as the escalation point for major facilities emergencies and liaise with landlords.
- Support new openings, fit-outs, and construction projects in the US.
- Own vendor relationships, SLAs, and performance; negotiate terms and bundle contracts.
- Manage re-tenders with central procurement and keep contracts recalibrated.
- Own and manage the US operations budget, monitoring spend and resolving issues.
- Drive energy-efficiency, supply-chain, and vendor savings.
- Report monthly on KPIs, budget, savings vs target, and member-experience health.
Requirements
- 5–10 years in operations / facilities management, ideally multi-site.
- Track record of reducing costs while protecting service quality and member experience.
- Strong vendor negotiation and contract management skills.
- People leadership experience in building, coaching, and developing site teams across multiple locations.
- Working knowledge of critical building systems (heating, cooling, fire & life-safety), security, IT, and AV.
- Data-savvy and tech-savvy, comfortable with operations apps, dashboards, and reporting.
- Exceptional project management and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to travel across the region as needed (25% travel).
