Responsibilities
- Translate content between English and your native language while preserving cultural nuance and clarity.
- Edit and refine language content for accuracy, tone, and contextual relevance across digital platforms.
- Apply current language standards, usage trends, and best practices to all deliverables.
- Evaluate and provide structured feedback to improve language model quality.
- Collaborate with Production and cross-functional teams to localize content for your language-speaking markets.
- Support content development, localization, and quality assurance for digital tools and applications.
- Creatively adapt text beyond the source to ensure it reads naturally in the target language when transcreation is required.
Requirements
- Native-level proficiency in the target language(s).
- A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR a graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.
- The ability to follow terminology and reference materials precisely.
- Requires reliable availability and commitment; most tasks require a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week.
- Geographic restrictions may apply; cannot engage contractors in regions subject to international embargo or sanctions.
- As a 1099 contractor, you are solely responsible for your own tax obligations.
